Are you ready to try sleeping on an incline?
With Andy Young & Paul Webster.
Raconteurs News welcomes back Andrew K Fletcher for a well overdue update on Inclined Bed Therapy.
Andrew Fletcher is the originator of ‘Inclined bed therapy’. He has helped many people across the world recover from serious illnesses, and he also shares a great deal of other interesting health information too.
Inclined bed therapy as a treatment is very simple. Although there is a holy grail in science, there is also a holy grail in life itself. If we cannot understand the mechanics of something, for instance like a motor cycle; then we are unable not only to make it work, but we will also lack the basic knowledge to repair the machine effectively, and keep it working for our benefit.
IBT simply means raising the head of your bed by 6 inches (15cm). Andrew has proven that there are significant benefits for our bodies circulation, our general health and wellbeing.
This simple procedure can be achieved at minimal cost. You may use a couple of house bricks, or large books or even stout pieces of wood.
Andrew explains that “Gravity is a massively underestimated force”. It has an important role in circulation. Our body is a wonderful complex system, of such vast complexity.
We should also consider that elevation will decrease fluid retention and will enhance urination. We should therefore drink more water to help flush out toxins. This will assist our bodies’ waste removal. Can we honestly say that we actually drink enough water? Be honest folks.
Should you consider IBT your body will require a period of adjustment for your new sleeping arrangements. You may experience discomfort, or you may find you are slipping down your bed, and that you are unable to obtain your usual comfort level.
Initially try raising your bed three inches at first. Try this method for a week or two. Remember ‘Rome was not built in a day’ so take things slowly, and persevere.
If this therapy was good enough for the Ancient Egyptians, then perhaps they knew something of great importance that our modern people have long forgotten.
Our grateful thanks to Andrew.
